SKDP works tirelessly to promote, encourage and support enterprise development in the South Kerry area. Since our establishment in 1991, we have supported thousands of new and existing businesses with a wide range of enterprise supports, including advice & guidance, mentoring & training, grant aid to support investment in new & existing businesses and the provision of networking opportunities.
SKDP has also been proactive in supporting the Social Enterprise sector, recognising their valuable impact and contributions to the economic, community and social life of South Kerry.
Whether you are a new or existing social enterprise, or an individual with a business idea looking for support to start a new business or an existing business looking to expand, SKDP has a range of enterprise supports to help you.

- If you are unemployed and thinking about setting up a new business, we can provide you with a confidential service to discuss your idea, develop a business plan and cash flow projections. We also offer training and support to eligible* customers to apply for Back to Work Enterprise Allowance (BTWEA) or Short-Term Enterprise Allowance (STEA) if you want to progress into self-employment.
