Local Area Employment Service

The Local Area Employment Service (LAES) is a Department of Social Protection (DSP) funded service in Ireland that provides intensive, personalized support to long-term unemployed individuals to help them find work or start a business. The service includes a dedicated case officer, a Personal Progression Plan (PPP), and various supports such as CV writing, interview preparation, training, upskilling, and mentoring.

Kerry Local Area Employment Service (KLAES) is committed to providing intensive and tailored Employment Assistance and Advice Supports to our Clients, Employers, Stakeholders and members of the public at all times. We act with the highest standards of quality, integrity and respect, and seek to continuously improve our service to maximise progression for service users.

What LAES Offers:

Personal Progression Plan (PPP): A personalized plan developed with your case officer to outline your career path and the steps needed to achieve it.
Guidance and Support: One-on-one support from a dedicated Employment Case Officer to help with your job search and career goals.
Job Search Skills: Workshops and training on CV writing, interview preparation, and other skills to improve your chances of finding employment.
Training and Upskilling: Access to various training programmes and opportunities to improve your skills for the job market.
Mentoring and Wellbeing: Support programmes, mentoring, and wellbeing workshops to help you develop and maintain a positive outlook on your journey to employment.
Post-Placement Support: Follow-up support after you've found a job to ensure a smooth transition and long-term career success.
