The Kerry Social Farming Alternative Respite Launch will take place on 24th July 2026 from 10am-1pm at Patrick and Mary B Murphy’s family diary farm, Ballycarbery West, Castlequin, Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, V23 HD71.
Special guest Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley TD will be in attendance.

Itinerary:
Tea/coffee on arrival
10.00am – Welcome participants to the farm by Pat Murphy and Joe McCrohan.
10:10am – Pat Murphy – The development and operation of his dairy farm.
10:20am – Sheep shearing demonstration with Patrick Moran.
11:00am – Arrival of Mrs Norma Foley TD, Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, and guided walk around the farm to meet Kerry Social Farming (KSF) participants and Host farmers.
11:40am – Address by Noel Spillane CEO South Kerry Development Partnership.
11:45am – Address by Mary Keane, Manager of Client Services, Disability Services Kerry HSE.
11.50am – KSF Host Farmers & Participants address.
12:00pm – Address by Mrs Norma Foley TD, Minister for Children, Disability and Equality.
12:30pm – Closing address by Eamon Horgan Chairman, KSF working group.
12:45pm – Lunch & live music with Aisling O’Sullivan.
13:00pm Kingdom Ice Cream.
