WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme

The Workability Programme is a free & confidential service that supports people with disabilities to find and maintain meaningful and sustainable employment.

This project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland, through the Department of Social Protection, and the European Union.

Our Programmes Workability

We also work with employers, community groups and social enterprises to promote inclusive hiring practices and create accessible and diverse workplaces.

Who Can Take Part?

You are eligible if you;

• Are 16 years or older at the time of registration (no upper age limit!)
• Identify as having a disability — (physical, mental, intellectual or sensory)

The Key Features of South Kerry Development Partnership WorkAbility Programme are:

Participant Supports

Tailored one-to-one guidance focused on each person’s goals, strengths, and abilities
Support setting short, medium and long-term goals
Access to a range of skill development pathways and learning opportunities (training and workshops) to build confidence and employability skills.
Support with CV building, interview skills and enhancing job searching skills.
Ongoing follow-up and support in education, training and employment

Employer Supports

We collaborate with local businesses to promote inclusive hiring practices and create accessible workplaces.
We provide advice and guidance on available grants and financial supports to help foster inclusive employment.
Our comprehensive and engaging disability awareness training helps build understanding and confidence around disability inclusion in the workplace.
We offer tailored support to ensure a smooth and successful transition into work for both the employee and employer.
