ORIS – Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme 2026/2027 – Call for Expressions of Interest

Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2026/27 – SKDP Call for Expressions of Interest

South Kerry Development Partnership (SKDP) is inviting Expressions of Interest from community groups, voluntary organisations and other eligible local stakeholders who may have projects suitable for support under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2026/27.

SKDP is issuing a call for expressions of interest under Measure 1 of the scheme – Small Scale Repair, Development, Promotion and Marketing, and the Project Development Measure. These funding opportunities support the enhancement and development of outdoor recreation infrastructure in rural areas.

Potential projects may include improvements to trails, walkways, outdoor recreational amenities and other local recreation infrastructure, as well as preparatory development work for larger projects.

Applications will be submitted by SKDP on behalf of selected projects. SKDP can submit three Measure 1 projects to the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and up to three Project Development Measure projects with a combined max value of €70,000. The maximum grant available for a Measure 1 project is €40,000. The rate of grant aid under both measures is 90% with 10% required in cash matching funding.

Groups wishing to be considered should complete the attached Expression of Interest form and submit it to Michael Cahillane, Rural Recreation Officer, by the closing date of Friday, 11 September 2026 at 5.00pm.
